Vertical Band Saw for Aluminum & Non-Ferrous Castings

Precision Cutting for Aluminum & Non-Ferrous Castings

What is

High-Speed Vertical Band Saw?

The high-speed vertical band saw is mainly used for cutting aluminum, copper, and various non-ferrous alloy casting risers and gates. Its cutting speed is 10 times that of conventional band saws, with a blade linear speed of 2000–3000 m/min. This effectively solves common issues encountered when cutting thin-walled tubes with ordinary saws, such as burrs, uneven surfaces, and deformation.

The machine adopts a new environmentally friendly and highly efficient spray-cooling technology, providing 5–10 times the cooling performance of traditional water cooling. Integrating advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic technologies, this model is a carefully engineered next-generation multifunctional high-speed band saw.

Cutting Process

Casting Clamping An operator or robot places the casting onto the fixture for positioning, after which the pressure claws clamp the workpiece securely.
Cutting the Riser/Gate The servo sliding table advances toward the saw blade at a controlled feed rate to perform the cut. During cutting, the spray-cooling system applies a thin oil film to the blade teeth at the guide area to ensure optimal lubrication and cooling. After the cut is completed, the sliding table automatically returns to the starting position, the pressure claws release, and the operator or robot removes the finished workpiece.
